This Privacy Policy applies to My Stories, a Shopify application operated by GetMyStories. It describes how we collect, use, and handle data when you install and use My Stories on your Shopify store, and how data belonging to your store's visitors may be processed when you activate certain optional features.
My Stories is committed to the principles of data minimization, transparency, and security. We act as a data processor on behalf of merchants (data controllers) when handling any end-user personal data.
By default, no personal or behavioral data is collected from visitors who interact with Stories displayed on a Shopify storefront.
When a merchant enables the optional in-video lead capture form feature through the app's back office, the form may collect the following visitor data depending on the merchant's configuration:

🔒 Important — No data stored on our servers
Data submitted through the lead capture form is transmitted directly to the merchant's Shopify store via the Shopify Admin API and stored exclusively within the merchant's Shopify account. My Stories does not store, process, retain, or transmit any of this information through its own infrastructure.
Optional fields (first name, last name, phone) are only collected if the merchant explicitly enables them in the app settings. Visitors are informed of data collection at the point of submission through a consent notice displayed within the form.
